Romans 6 – Bible Confessions, Meditations, and Declarations
Rom 6:1. I am born of God and I do not sin for God’s seed dwells and remains in me, and I cannot sin, because I am born of God (1 John 3:9). Therefore, God’s grace abounds towards me.
Rom 6:2. I am dead to sin, so it is impossible for me to live any longer in it. God’s seed remains in me, so I cannot sin, because I am born of God (1 John 3:9).
Rom 6:3. I know that I was baptized into Christ Jesus, therefore, I was baptized into His death.
Rom 6:4. I was buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so I shall walk in newness of life.
Rom 6:5. For since I have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly I also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.
Rom 6:6. I know that my old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that I should no longer be a slave of sin. I am therefore no longer a slave of sin.
Rom 6:7. For I have died and I have been made free from sin.
Rom 6:8. I died with Christ, and I believe that I shall also live with Him,
Rom 6:9. Since I know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, cannot die anymore, death no longer has dominion over Him. So also, I have been raised from the dead, and I cannot die anymore; death no longer has dominion over me!
Rom 6:10. The death that Christ died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Therefore, the death that I died with Christ, I died to sin once and for all, and the life that I live, I live to God!
Rom 6:11. I consider myself dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Rom 6:12. Therefore I will not allow sin to reign in my mortal body and I will not obey its desires,
Rom 6:13. I will not present my members to sin as instruments to be used for unrighteousness, but I present myself to God as him who is alive from the dead and I present my members to God as instruments to be used for righteousness.
Rom 6:14. For sin has no dominion or mastery over me, for I am not under the law but under grace.
Rom 6:15. And although I know that I am not under the law, but under grace, I will not use that as an excuse for sin, absolutely not!
Rom 6:16. I know that I am a slave to whomever I present myself to, therefore I present myself as a slave to God for obedience which leads to righteousness.
Rom 6:17. God be thanked that though I was a slave of sin, yet I obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine and teaching I was entrusted to.
Rom 6:18. and having been made free from sin, I became enslaved to righteousness, and I will forever remain so.
Rom 6:19. In the same manner that I presented my members as slaves to uncleanness, impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now I present my members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
Rom 6:20. For when I was a slave of sin, I was free with regard to righteousness.
Rom 6:21. But honestly, I didn’t reap any benefit from those things, and I am even now ashamed of them. For the end of those things is death.
Rom 6:22. But I thank God that now, been made free from sin and enslaved to God, I have my benefit leading to sanctification, and the end of it is eternal life.
Rom 6:23. For the wages of sin is death, but I have the free gift of God which is eternal life through Christ Jesus my Lord.
