Romans 2 – Bible Confessions, Meditations, and Declarations
Rom 2:1. I will not judge others, but though I do not judge them, I also will not do those things that they are judged about, and I will not get condemned.
Rom 2:2. I am sure that God’s judgement is true and valid against all who commit evil.
Rom 2:3. But I escape His judgement and adverse verdict because I will not practise those things that bring people into judgement.
Rom 2:4. Because I know that it was God’s goodness that led me to repentance, therefore, I will not despise the riches of God’s goodness, forbearance and longsuffering; and through me, others will realise this fact and come to repentance.
Rom 2:5. I speak the word of God unto the hard, the difficult and to those with impenitent hearts and such people’s hardness, difficulty and impenitence is broken because God’s word is as a fire (that purifies) and as a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces (Jer. 23:29). These people get saved, and on the day of wrath and revelation of God’s righteous judgement, we will all have boldness because our love is made perfect and as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
Rom 2:6. God works in me, both to will and to do of His good pleasure (Phil. 2:13), also, the works of righteousness in me are done by God (Titus 3:5), and whatever I do, whether in eating or in drinking, or in any other thing, I do all to the glory of God (1 Cor 10:31). Therefore, when God renders to every man according to his deeds,
Rom 2:7. I receive glory and honour and immortality, eternal life, because of my patient continuance in well doing.
Rom 2:8. I will not receive indignation or wrath because I am not contentious and I do not obey unrighteousness, but I obey the truth.
Rom 2:9. Also, I do not and I will not practice evil, therefore, I will not have tribulation or anguish,
Rom 2:10. Instead, I receive glory, honour and peace because I am filled with good works.
Rom 2:11. Because there is no partiality with God and because I am made in God’s image and likeness, there is therefore no partiality with me.
Rom 2:12. I am born of God and I do not commit sin because God’s seed remains, abides and dwells in me (1 John 3:9). Therefore I will not perish, either without the law or in the law. Also, because I am in Christ Jesus, and I walk after the Spirit, there is therefore now no condemnation to me, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death (Rom 8:1-2).
Rom 2:13. I both hear and do the word of God, therefore, I am justified before God.
Rom 2:17. It is written, “My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof and be glad” (Psalm 34:2), therefore, I make my boast in the Lord.
Rom 2:18. I know God’s will and I approve the things that are excellent, because I am instructed out of God’s law.
Rom 2:19. Because I am in Christ, and as He is, so am I in this world (1 John 4:17), therefore I am the light of the world (John 9:5, Matt 5:14). Also because the Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, and because God has anointed me to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound (Isa. 61:1-3), therefore I declare that I am a guide to the blind and a light to those who are in darkness,
Rom 2:20. I am an instructor of the foolish, I am a teacher of babes, and I am filled with the knowledge and the truth that is from God.
Rom 2:21. I will not only teach others, but I will teach myself also. When I preach that a man should not do something, I will not do the same thing myself. I preach against stealing, and, I do not steal.
Rom 2:22. I preach that a man should not commit adultery, therefore, I do not commit adultery. I abhor idols, but at the same time, I do not commit sacrilege.
Rom 2:23. I make my boast in the Lord (Psalm 34:2) and therefore I shall not break God’s law and I shall not dishonour God.
Rom 2:24. The name of God will not be blasphemed among the Gentiles through me.
Rom 2:25. I am a Jew inwardly and my circumcision is that of the heart (Rom 2:29), and the law of God is written on the table of my heart by the Holy Spirit (Ezek 36:26-27, 2 Cor 3:3), therefore I do not break God’s law and my circumcision will never become uncircumcision.
Rom 2:26. I keep the righteousness of God’s law, therefore, my uncircumcision is counted for circumcision.
Rom 2:27. I fulfil God’s law and I do not transgress it by any means, neither by letter nor by circumcision; therefore, I will not get judged.
Rom 2:28. I am not a Jew outwardly, neither is my circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.
Rom 2:29. I am a Jew inwardly and my circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit and not in the letter; and my praise is not of men but of God.
